Even though the rooms were outdated and could use a renovation, I managed to get a good night's sleep and took advantage of the gym to beat my jet lag. However, my room was a bit dark and felt humid with a small window, and it was in a separate wing from the main facilities in the old part of the hotel. The service was lacking, as they didn't seem to care much about non-movie star guests and I ended up paying unexpected extra charges due to hidden taxes. The location was convenient for exploring Rodeo Drive and the shopping center, but a car is necessary to fully experience Los Angeles. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially at Circa 55 for a great meal, and the facility had a balance of old school charm with ongoing renovations.
